KRACHI: The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police on Thursday published the fifth edition of ‘Red Book’ with complete profiles of key terrorists.According to reports, CID police have issued a new version of the Red Book having 60 high-profile terrorists, including 44 belonging to different Sunni outfits and 16 to Shia organisation. It is pertinent to mention here that the provincial and federal governments announced profiles of terrorists having reward money in between Rs 500,000 to Rs 10 million.SSP Fayyaz Khan, when contacted, said that as many as 90 percent of the terrorists nominated in the previous additions of the Red Book have been arrested and most of the terrorists’ profiles in the current addition are based upon the new induction in terrorist outfits. The senior most wanted, whom police had been looking for a long time, was Matiur Rehman having reward money of Rs 10 million by the federal government and Rs 1 million by the Sindh government. It is worth mentioning here that the notorious terrorist of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Qari Abid Iqbal Mehsud involved in various high profile terrorist activities in the city remains without any reward money. Mehsud was reportedly the mastermind of various suicide attacks including the attack at Allama Hassan Tarabi at Nishtar Park and various other cases of terrorism.Interestingly, the Sindh Home Department had recently issued a list of 10 suspects involved in crimes and dacoitiees including the name of Mehsud with head money of Rs 500,000. Despite the announcement of the reward money over Mehsud, the current version of the Red Book does not carry his profile – Dailytimes
