Raisani approves Sports Complex project

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani approved the construction of proposed Sports Complex project to be completed jointly by Pak Army and provincial government.  Army has allocated a piece of land for the purpose while the provincial government would provide Rs 5 million for the repair and renovation of already available structure of the complex.The landmark decision for the uplift of sports sector in the province was taken during a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Balochistan here at CM Secretariat on Thursday.Provincial Ministers Mohammad Younsu Mullazai, Mir Shahnawaz Marri, Mir  Ehsan Shah, Mir Asim Kurd Gailu, Chief Secretary Balochistan Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri, Secretary Sports Munir Badini GOC 41 Division Major General Zahid Latif were among those who attended the meeting.

The participants agreed to boost up the sports sector as Balochistan is enrich with God gifted talent and can earn good name for the country.The service of expert coaches from Army and other departments would be hired, besides promoting the private public partnership for the uplift of Sports activities in the province.Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Raisani, directed to increase the funds for Sport sector in the upcoming fiscal years budget. He stressed that additional funds be allocated for imparting standard training to the football players.He termed the conversion of cantonment into the education city as innovation aimed at remove the grievances of people of Balochistan.
He hailed the establishment of PESC in Sui as saying withdrawal of forces from Dera Bugti and conversion of cantonment into the education city in Sui was the one of the pledges made by PPP government which it materialized in letter and spirit.GOC 41 Division, Major General Zahid Latif, on the occasion said that Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Javed Zia were enthusiastic to ensure best facilities to the Baloch youth with the help of provincial government in all sectors – APP
