Marriott to launch ‘Regional Food Festival’ tomorrow

KARACHI: The Karachi Marriott Hotel General Manager Faisal Khan has announced that the hotel is going to launch its first ‘Regional Food Festival’ on Thursday (tomorrow).

In a press conference on Tuesday, he said that the festival would reflect the colourful culture of our country, as dishes from all the four provinces of the country will be introduced during this event.

He said that Sindh Minister for Power Shazia Marri will inaugurate the festival.

Furthermore, face painting, toys and magic shows will also be organised in the festival to attract the children. A smoke corner by the name of ‘Shesha Corner’ will also be installed in the event, he added. Marriott’s Regional Event Manager Ms Tina told the media that top models and artists including Jawed Shaikh, Nadia, Sunita Marshal, Jawaria Abbasi and Dr Shaista Wahedi will visit the festival and express their views over the quality and taste of dishes.

“We will try our level best to provide a family environment to the visitors. Festival will be organised at the pool Marquee. Entry tickets will be available at Rs 1,150 plus tax,” she added. Tina further said that the hotel would soon introduce arrangements for religious and cultural programmes including qawwali, Naat Khuwani and fashion shows – DailyTimes
