The arrest the co-accused is a continuation of probe into the scam wherein Director FIA Zafar Qureshi claimed that he had recovered Rs1.66 billions from Ayaz Niazi and Warraich family after being appointed as investigation officer in the case. “We have also recovered Rs100 millions from the accused against the loss caused to national exchequer because of the difference of evaluation in the 20 Kanal and two Marla land near Lahore Airport.”

The director will submit his report to the Supreme Court on January 11 (next month) while the agency has launched a hunt for other accused of the case, including Mohsin Warraich and Qasim Amin Dada, the two missing links of the NICL scam after making hundred per cent recovery from the arrested persons.Zafar said Dada was in Karachi. “I have written five to six times to the director FIA Karachi for the arrest of Qasim Dada.
