KUALA LUMPUR: With a packed international calendar, badminton’s Lee Chong Wei doesn’t find it easy to find time to compete on the Malaysian circuit – his compatriots must wish he wouldn’t bother. The world number one extended his unbeaten record on the domestic tour to eight years on Sunday with victory at the Perak Open, a run stretching back to the 2002 National Grand Prix Finals. “It is not easy for me to take part in local tournaments because I have a hectic international schedule. But I do not want to neglect my obligation to raise the game at the local level,” he told local media.
