LAHORE: A modern school, funded by Samsung Electronics in collaboration with SOS Rural Support Programme (SOS RSP), in Ladhayke village of Kasur district, was inaugurated by the Samsung Pakistan’s Senior Manager In Jae Lee on Tuesday.The middle school for girls has a capacity for 260 students. At present it has 20 teachers.Built and furnished by Samsung, and called the Samsung Grammar High School, it will be operated by the SOS RSP to provide a high standard education to the girls of the region.The school will cater to the needs of more than 13,000 dwellers of 10 villages nearby. It has a library, science and computer laboratories, sports and transportation facilities. SOS will also establish a community health centre in collaboration with Samsung on the school premises to fulfill the basic needs of the poor community.Samsung Pakistan’s Managing Director, Heeh Chang Yee, and Public Relations Manager, Rabiya Siddiqui, also spoke on the occasion.
