TI refuses to regret with KP govt over corruption report

PESHAWAR: Transparency International (TI) has refused to express regret with government of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa (KP) on rating the province top most among other provinces in terms of corruption in a report released by it.Chairman TI, Syed Adil Gilani had published report about the widespread corruption in different government departments of KP. The KP government had contacted federal government for resorting to the court against TI and had issued legal notice to TI.Reliable official sources told it was said in the legal notice issued by KP government that TI should regret with KP government on corruption report otherwise it was going to approach the court and it would sue for payment of damage of Rs 50 billion.Sources told TI in its letter addressed to KP government had said that it had complete evidences with regard to corruption cases , therefore, it could not regret – Onlinenews
