HANGOL:A 90-ft high island was discovered three kilometres off the coast of Balochistan near Hangol on Friday, said television reports. According to the reports, the island is about 3km long and 3km wide and is 90-ft above the sea level.Geologists believe the island surfaced as a result of seismic activity in the coastal area. The island is not brown but mostly white in color. The Pakistan Fisher Folk Forum’s leader Sami Ibraheem said that as many as 100 fishing boats were trapped as the new island surfaced and blocked their route.Panic gripped the fishing community around Hangol as they feared the island might explode or cause destruction in the area.According to the sources, the island is not new but it had emerged around 10 years ago before disappearing again – Dailymailnews
