KARACHI/LAHORE: The Rangers Sindh started a house-to-house operation late on Thursday in sensitive areas of the city to maintain law and order. The areas have been identified as Sultanabad, Rabia City, Saddar, Kati Pahari, Soldier Bazaar, Qasba Colony, Quaid-e-Azam Colony and Bataiabad. A Rangers official said that this operation was only against criminals to maintain the law and order situation. The Rangers and police raided a coach stand in Saddar and seized 12 Kalashnikovs and 23 pistols.Meanwhile, ANP spokesman Qadir Khan claimed that 250 party workers were either missing or had been arrested by police, and warned that the party would leaving the coalition government in Sindh, a private TV channel reported.ANP Sindh General Secretary Bashir Jan said that they would protest for an indefinite period if their workers were not released within 24 hours. atif raza/daily times monitor – Dailytimes
