ISLAMABAD: Earthquake tremors were felt in upper areas of the country including Peshawar and Islamabad at 5:51 am Monday morning and at 1:30 am during night between Sunday and Monday.
According to metrological department, earthquake tremors were felt in upper area of the country including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Hari Pur, Swat, Mardan, Parachinar, Khyber Agency, Kurram Agency, Orakzai Agency, Khawist and Malakand Agency at 5:52 am. The intensity of the earthquake has been recorded at 5.0 in the Richter scale while the center of the earthquake was 119 kilometer northwest to Peshawar.
The earthquake jolts were also felt at 1:3o am in Swat and Chitral and intensity of the jolts were recorded 4.7 in the Richter scale and its epicenter was 74 kilometer northeast to Chitral – Onlinenews
