As many as 10,000 personnel of police force and 10 units of Quick Response Force (QRF) will be deployed at various points to ensure security during Eidul Azha. Additional Capital City Police Officer DIG (Operations) Rao Sardar Ali Khan has directed the police officials to make a comprehensive plan for the security of all the mosques, eidgahs and imambarghs and deploy police force for the security of Eid congregations.

While presiding over a high-level meeting, comprising senior police officers of the district, held in his office on Sunday, the DIG revealed that at least 77 SHOs, 750 officials of QRF, 50 vehicles of mobile squad and 25 DSPs would discharge their duties under the supervision of 10 SPs across the city. Rao Sardar Ali further directed the SHOs to arrange a list of volunteers to be deployed along with police officials for security during Eid prayers. “Temporary protection walls or wires should be installed around the public places selected for Eid congregations,” he said. – Dailytimes
