‘PM did not make any recommendation for allotment of plot to any individual’

ISLAMABAD: The Spokesman of the Ministry of Housing & Works, while clarifying the news item published in a section of press on Tuesday said that the Prime Minister did not make any recommendation to the Ministry  for allotment of a plot to any individual against any scheme of the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation.The news item had alleged that the Public Accounts Committee has ordered probe into plots gifted by the Prime Minister to his friends in early 2009.He said that Ministry of Housing allots plots of various categories of different segments of the societies including the civil servants, disabled and in hardship cases in accordance with approved quota and as per well established and pronounced criteria mentioned in the brochure of the respective schemes.The spokesman further clarified that allotments have been made by the Ministry of Housing & Works as per laid down procedure and criteria.
