ISLAMABAD: The ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Abdul Aziz Ibrahim Al-Ghadeer, called on Federal Minister for Defence, Ch.Ahmad Mukhtar, and exchanged views on matters of bilateral importance.Both sides underlined the need for promoting more closer cooperation in all areas of mutual interest particularly in the field of defence.The minister said that Saudi Arabia is true brother that had always stood by Pakistan at difficult junctures especially during devastating earth quake of 2005 and the recent floods in Pakistan.He said that the two brotherly countries needed to further expand and reinforce their ties in economic, trade and defence fields for the mutual benefits of the two countries.The ambassador discussed with the Minister that both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are engaged in long lasting historical relations, and are like one family and nation.He said Saudi Arabia would continue to assist Pakistan in the reconstruction and rehabilitation process of flood victims.e mentioned that 300 Saudi volunteers, including doctors and technicians, are still taking part in the rehabilitation of flood-stricken people.He informed that Saudi Arabia would set up another mobile hospital, besides sending 100 trucks, carrying relief goods, every week to the flood affected areas.The Minister appreciated the contribution made by Saudi Arabia at this difficult time – App
