Prime Minister holds law, order meeting with Sindh CM

KARACHI: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani held a meeting with  Sindh Chief Minister  Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House here on Tuesday. According to an official handout, the Prime Minister discussed issues pertaining to law and order in the province, post-flood measures adopted for rehabilitation and reconstruction of flood affected areas and people.The Prime Minister stressed the need to have constant vigilance on  the  activities of criminals and anti-social elements,while such elements be curbed with an iron hand without any consideration or favouritism.Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani further said that the provincial government is doing very well for the maintenance of law and order, and it is hoped that continuous preventive and precautionary measures will be taken to strictly maintain the law and order in  the province particularly in Karachi.Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah apprised the Prime Minister about various measures evolved for controlling and maintenance of law and order.
He also informed the Prime Minister about measures being adopted for the rehabilitation of flood affected people.
He said that on return to their homes, the flood affected people are being provided free of cost seed and fertiliser, so that maximum land is brought under cultivation.The Sindh CM said that under a plan, grow more wheat campaign, has been launched in the province.He informed the Prime Minister that various countries are approaching to assist the affected person while low cost housing scheme has been proposed by them.Sindh  Chief Minister  also informed that the first installment is being paid in cash through Watan Card process to  the flood affected people, while persons indulged in misguiding the affected people are being dealt with accordingly.
Earlier, on arrival at the Chief Minister House, accompanied by the Sindh Chief Minister, the Prime Minister was warmly greeted by Advisor to CM for Information Ms. Sharmila Farooqui, Advisors to CM Sindh, Rashid Rabbani, Siddique Abu Bhai, Special Assistant to CM Sindh, Waqar Mehdi, Political Secretary to CM Nazar Muhmmad Gaho, Secretary Information Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, and Press Secretary to CM Sindh, Allah Bachayo Memon – App
