Hockey camp for Asian Games from Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: The training camp of national hockey team for the upcoming 16th Asian Games will start here at Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium of Pakistan Sports Complex from Wednesday.Earlier, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) selection committee had summoned 22 players for the training camp but now it is augmented to 25 with the addition of Sohail Abbas, Khalid Bhatti and Abdul Qayyum Dogar.The players who have been summoned for the camp are: Zeeshan Ashraf, Salman Akbar, Muhammad Imran, Muhammad Irfan, Waseem Ahmad, Muhammad Rashid, Fareed Ahmad, Shafqat Rasool, Rehan Butt, Shakeel Abbasi, Abdul Haseem Khan, Muhammad Zubair, Waqas Sharif, Muhammad Rizwan, Muhammad Umar Bhutta, Imran Butt, Imran Shah, Muhammad Tauseeq, Waqas Akbar, Muhammad Rizwan, Syed Kashif Shah, Kashif Javed, Sohail Abbas, Khalid Bhatti and Kashif Javed.“Technical training and confidence build up will be the main areas of our focus during the training camp,” said Ahmed Alam, assistant coach of the team.He said with the inclusion of three more players the team’s confidence and performance would increase – App
