ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior A.Rehman Malik has honored special award to Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Bani Amin for his meritorious service in the police department and significant contribution in fight against terrorism as well curbing crime.The special prize has been formally awarded to him by the Minister for Interior as an acknowledgement to his extraordinary performance.To recognition his resolute and exceptional services in the larger interests of the general public, the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has also conferred on Bani Amin Khan, the award of Sitara-i-Imtiaz.DIG Bani Amin has contributed a lot for the welfare of Islamabad Police and also ensured merit throughout his service. He also ensured law and order in challenging situations and initiated various steps for the community policing.Mr. Bani Amin Khan is a brave, dedicated and determined officer of Islamabad police. The incessant terrorist’s attack had created a scary scenario in Islamabad. Bani Amin Khan, as Deputy Inspector General (Operations) accepted the challenge and constituted teams to unearth and put an end to the barbaric activities of the extremists in the Capital.His unremitting ingenuous efforts bore fruit and terrorists involved in slaughtering and kidnappings of security personnel besides, being a mastermind and a facilitator of Special Branch blast, was finally arrested by his team.
This arrest proved to be avital link for unearthing the whole network of nefarious terrorists operations in Islamabad.The accomplishment of this daunting task speaks volume of his dedication and professional acumen. The untiring, strenuous and unswerving efforts put in by the officer resulted into busting of the network and arrest of number of key terrorists helped in returning the lost tranquility and serenity to the Capital.
