President directs for arrest of those behind target killings in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Tuesday night directed the Interior Minister Rehman Malik to submit a comprehensive report on the situation in Karachi.He also directed that those behind the present spree of targeted killings be apprehended and brought to justice regardless of their political affiliations.President Asif Ali Zardari issued the directives during a meeting of the senior leadership of PPP present in Islamabad.The meeting presided over by the Party Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani discussed the overall political situation and law and order situation in the country.The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Federal Ministers Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar,Rehman Malik and Makhdoom Shahabuddin, Secretary General of the Party Jahangir Badar, Senator Faisal Raza Abidi, Ms. Mehreen Anwar Raja, Ms. Rukhsana Bangash, Ms. Fouzia Wahab, Ms. Fouzia Habib and Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar.The meeting took stock of the current situation and the participants put forth their points of view and suggestions on various issues – App
