Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) is hosting an international delegation from Turkey, which has come to explore investment opportunities and signed MoU with the government of Punjab. The purpose for signing this MoU was to provide the framework for a partnership arrangement between PBIT and BUGIAD, a Turkish businessmen association headed by Taner Kocyigit, which operates in Bursa, Turkey.
It is worth mentioning that this is the first official business delegation from Bursa that visited Lahore. Chief Executive Officer (CEO) PBIT, Saadat Muzaffar welcomed the Turkish delegation and suggested ways to improve ties. Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) has provided information to delegation and equipped them with the knowledge of investment and trade opportunities in textile, construction and automotive sector.
Talking to the members of the delegation, Muzaffar said that this MoU would be a positive step towards promoting investment and trade in international markets. Real progress lies in the sustained efforts towards these interactions with brotherly nations such as Turkey where there is an understanding about the investment climate of emerging markets such as Punjab. He said that this MoU would be a new beginning between the two countries.
