MQM tables land reforms bill in NA

ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Farooq Sattar on Tuesday said the ratification of the land reforms bill, submitted in the National Assembly, would deprive many landlords of their sleep.Earlier today, the MQM had submitted the bill in the National Assembly secretariat.Farooq Sattar submitted the bill in the presence of 25 National Assembly members and five senators in the NA secretariat.“The ownership of agriculture land should be limited to 36 acres,” the bill stated.“We feel proud after submitting the land reforms bill as 98 per cent people of the country awaited it,” Sattar said – Dawan
