Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Khan Raisani on Wednesday gave approval to the formation of Balochistan Alternate Energy Board in order to utilize alternate energy resources.
The Board will mull over to use solar and coal energies to resolve power load shedding issue while large and small dams would also be constructed to meet requirement of agriculture sector as well as energy sector. The experts of the board will review projects of alternate energy launched across the world to fulfill need of energy.
The board will be assigned to launch wind energy projects along coastal belts of Balochistan while in Eastern and Central Balochistan, coal energy projects would be carried out which would help resolving prolonged power load shedding issue.
The Balochistan government has pinned hope on the proposed board that it would initiate projects which would result in foreign and local investment in agriculture, industrial, mines and mineral including oil, gas, coal, gold, silver and copper, making Balochistan a prosperous province. – thebalochhal
