1233.35 million US dollars committed to Pakistan in grants, soft loans and kind

ISLAMABAD, Sep 14 (APP): A sum of US 1233.35 million dollars has been committed for the flood affected persons of Pakistan by international community in the form of grants, kind and soft loans.Pakistan National Management Authority Spokesperson Ahmad Kamal on Tuesday told a private news channel that Pakistan has been committed to be provided with the grant of 3.70 million US dollars and soft loan of 10 million US dollars.International community has also committed to provide 559.28 million US dollars in the form of kind to the flood affected persons of Pakistan, he added.The spokesman said that a grant of 53.31, soft loans of 8.39 million US dollars and kind of 285.09 million US dollars has been disbursed to Pakistan out of the committed amount so far.He said that the process of providing relief of 20,000 to every flood hit individual through government’s “Watan Card Scheme” has been started in various areas of the country.

National Accountability and Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is running this process, it will issue Watan cards to more flood affected persons after the completion of their registration process, he said.
He said NADRA has resumed the registration process after Eid holidays on Tuesday and asked people to be directly in contact with NADRA to make the “Watan Card” process more simple and transparent – APP
