Freedom is not free, it costs a life a day and those sacrificing their lives to safeguard our homeland Pakistan are our gallant soldiers.
With “Day of Martyrs” today on April 30, 2013 we all are commemorating our jawans and the super efforts of Pakistan army who fear nothing to protect us.We salute our Shahuda (martyrs) who ended their lives by fighting bravery on snow covered mountains, desserts in scorching sun and in dense forests. Youm-e-Shahuda-e-Pakistan is the day in great memories of our heroes who are indeed the true saviors of our independence. It is observed to honor their sacrifices and their valiant deeds. To pay homage “Day of Martyrs” is observed on April 30 every year, ceremonies are held in connection where Chief of Army Staff (COAS) along with Pakistan army, families and relatives of martyrs pay tribute to soldiers rendering their lives for defense of our motherland Pakistan.
Wreaths are laid and soldiers march supporting coffins on their shoulders. Salutation is done for our heroes who shed their blood to nurture the tree of freedom.Fighting the war on terrorism is costing lives of our soldiers every now and then, who are always there to ensure sovereignty and liberty of our land. These are the proud sons of our soil who guard at border, standing in freezing temperature, battling in showering bullets, fighting fearlessly and thus bestowing their lives.Let’s honor our soldiers, who are the real pride of our nation and our land Pakistan.- Lubna Khalil
