power dynamicsThe article compares the power dynamics shared by both Zardari and Nawaz and how Imran Khan is most likely to win he hearts of people through his unhinged valor and courage to voice the wrong and stand by the right.

With just one year to go in the elections, the political storm is gaining strength in Pakistan with every political party, minor or major, trying to win the hearts of the public by throwing dirt on the other parties. In the realm of the political upheaval in the country are caught the three major parties who are most likely to run the affairs of the state from next elections onwards. Among these is the PML-N of Nawaz Sharif, the current leading government of PPP under the leadership of Zardari and the fastest emerging party of the youth PTI under the vibrant leadership of Imran Khan. With PPP the country has had their fair share of experiences to know that Zardari has nothing new to offer in terms of providing solutions to the problems of the common man.

The first party to bring about a revival in the dictated state of powers for the past ten years, PPP came into power in 2008 and ever since then, it has failed to live up to the expectations of the public and of its own representatives. It has even failed to provide the people with what the party slogan has been offering for the past 30 years; that of roti, kaprah and makan. It is sufficient to say that the PPP government under Zardari has failed the nation; they have failed to bring about a revival through the democratic system of government they are running.Next in line is Nawaz Sharif who came back to Pakistan in 2008 after a period of almost 10 years of exile.

The drive that Nawaz has launched against PPP of ‘Go Zardari Go’ fails to inculcate any feelings of anticipation and expectancy in the general public because the people have almost given up on the political dynamics of the country’s politicians. The only thing these politicians are good at is filling their own pockets with the state’s money, instead of understanding the grievances of the common man and working for the betterment of the nation.

Their sole concern is lashing out the other party instead of establishing their own party image through betterment in their deeds. As opposed to both Zardari and Nawaz, the breath of fresh air in the political arena of the Pakistani political world is Imran Khan, who is not a politician but a leader.

He led the country towards victory in the 1992 world cup, he led the people towards humanity and generosity in the floods of 2010 and he is leading the country now towards regeneration and rejuvenation in the form of elections. He is the heartthrob of the young generation of Pakistan, which boasts of almost 60% population of the country. With such a striking figure of support besides him, Khan has little to worry about and much to look forward to. But still, Pakistan’s history is filled with dirty politics and one can never be too cautious.

Imran has the required charisma and aura to bring about a permanent and positive change in Pakistan and has the support of all those people who have been thoroughly disappointed by the false promises of both PPP and PML-N.So the stakes are high in the favor of Imran Khan, and people have the best of anticipations from this enigmatic leader that he will revive the political scenario of Pakistan for the best. – Zainab Tariq
