MAKKAH: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Sunday expressed his deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of the Saudi Crown Prince, with King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and termed it a great loss for the entire Ummah.
The Prime Minister, as a special gesture, was asked by the Saudi authorities to take the lead amongst other dignitaries to personally condole with the Saudi King, after the funeral prayers of Saudi Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz al Saud at Makkah.
Prime Minister Gilani, on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan conveyed his grief over the sad demise. He described late Prince Nayef as a close friend of Pakistan, who played a pivotal role in promoting the bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries. – APP
