BEIJING: A delegation of Pakistani media arrived in Beijing on Monday morning to kick off their tour around China’s famous Yangtze River The delegations is part of the media exchanges between China and Pakistan.The 12-member delegation comprised of journalists from mainstream media in Pakistan, including PTV, PBC, APP, GEO TV, Daily Mail, Dawn News, Nawa-e-Waqt and Nihao-Salam.The Pakistani journalists’ visit is in response to a group of Chinese journalists who toured several cities in Pakistan in May this year. The aim of the visit was to show a real Pakistan to the Chinese people in general and the world at large.Muhammad Iqbal, Director of the External Publicity Wing under Pakistan’s Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, said the aim of tour was to get an opportunity to see China and learn from the experience of the Chinese people.The 12 journalists will visit several major Chinese cities along the Yangtze River, the third longest river in the world, to witness the traditional Chinese culture and the country’s fast economic development.The activity, initiated by China Radio International, is held to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan.
