Pakistan elected to three UN bodies

UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan was elected to three United Nations’ panels on Thursday in recognition of the country’s contribution to the work of the world body, officials said. The panels are: The Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD),and the Committee on Programme and Coordination. Elections took place at the resumed session of Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the economic arm of the United Nations. – APP
