Ships run aground in Ajman

According to officials, the waves rose 10 feet and slammed against the vessels which were thrown against some rocks.A Coast Guard official said the two ships, Dolphin and Lady Rana, hit the rocks and started taking in water. The crew sought technical assistance from shore. Officials said the extent of the damage was being ascertained and repairs were being done with divers and mechanics working round-the-clock.Nazim Mohammed, the captain of one of the ships, said the vessel was transporting oil.Once repairs are completed, the ships will be checked for their sea-worthiness – Kahleejnews
