Assange once again struck back at the rape charges brought against him in Sweden, which his lawyer has dismissed as “honeytraps.” In one exchange, he was asked if he was “promiscuous” and replied, “I’m not promiscuous. I just really like women.” He asserted again that the rape charges were a “smear campaign,” which he previously said when appearing on the Today Show after his release. However, the online activist not only went after his detractors. He lashed out at the Guardian newspaper for “selectively publishing” the police report detailing his alleged crimes. The Guardian report details the unprotected sex incident that is reportedly behind the rape charges,According to the statement, Miss A then realised he was trying to have unprotected sex with her. She told police that she had tried a number of times to reach for a condom but Assange had stopped her by holding her arms and pinning her legs. The statement records Miss A describing how Assange then released her arms and agreed to use a condom, but she told the police that at some stage Assange had “done something” with the condom that resulted in it becoming ripped, and ejaculated without withdrawing.Asasange also told the Times that he had enough information to force an executive at a major American bank to resign. There is speculation that Bank of America is the target after previous interviews indicated he had received information from the hard drive of one of the bank’s executives. The bank recently stopped processing WikiLeaks payments. The persecuted publisher has been called a “high-tech terrorist” by Vice President Joe Biden in recent weeks, and says that he fears that the U.S. is building a case against him – Huffingtonpost
