Salma Hayek Pinault presented a new film produced by Gucci’s Chime for Change global campaign for women’s empowerment at the Women’s Forum held on Wednesday in Deauville, France.
Called “Humaira: The Game Changer,” this is the second movie directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy on the life and work of 27-year-old Pakistani Humaira Bachal, who has been fighting for girls’ education since the age of 12.

Speaking about the first movie on the stage of London’s The Sound of Change concert event on June 2013, Madonna made a plea to donate to finance the construction of the first floor of the Dream Model Street School, ideated by Bachal to offer an education to the girls in the slums of Karachi, Pakistan. Madonna financed the construction of the remaining floors of the building, which was completed last summer.

“The Dream School has changed the lives of hundreds of children. Every girl deserves to go to school, regardless of where she was born,” said Madonna at the time. “Humaira is a freedom fighter. She is a hero for these girls and an example for all of us.”
