It might have been Simon Cowell’s big night. But all eyes were on one couple when they made their entrance to the music mogul’s 54th birthday celebrations at swanky London restaurant Scalini in Chelsea on Sunday evening.

Newlyweds Cheryl and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, who tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Mustique in July, looked happier than ever as they made their way into the Italian restaurant.
Jean-Bernard kept a protective hand around The X Factor Judge, who dazzled in a sexy metallic pink frock with a low-cut bustier top and fishtail hemline. Cheryl finished off her look with nude pumps and a reflective mini clutch. The 31-year-old shunned any statement jewellery and instead let her jaw-dropping platinum princess-cut diamond engagement ring and diamond encrusted wedding band do all the talking.
Her shiny chestnut tresses were swept up into a sleek chignon hairstyle while she worked a nude lip and smokey eyes. Meanwhile Cheryl’s handsome husband looked just as stylish as his popstar partner in a deep blue navy suit, a white unbuttoned shirt and black shoes.

According to witnesses at the party, the duo’s amorous display carried on well into the night. A source told the Mail Online: ‘Cheryl and Jean-Bernard looked incredibly in love and happy and had great body language.’
Adding: ‘At one point, Jean was feeding Cheryl bits of cheese from his plate. He’s quite a serious guy but in a good way. He’s not at all grumpy.’ Inside the venue guests were treated to a delicious serving of spare ribs, veal, halibut, risotto and vegetables. Meanwhile Simon, who welcomed a son Eric with partner Lauren Silverman in February, was toasted with speeches from actor David Walliams, Arcadia Group CEO Sir Philip Green, singer Sinitta and his brother Tony Cowell. According to a Mail Online source, the Little Britain actor decided to make a speech at the bash and announced to the restaurant that he and Simon were gay lovers.
‘David’s speech was full of innuendos. He even joked that Eric was a cover for their secret relationship,’ the source said. ‘He said he couldn’t believe the lengths Simon would go to in having a baby to cover up their relationship.’ Simon’s ex-girlfriend Sinitta also took to the microphone to cheers her dear friend.
