KARACHI: Following the departure of the winter season, lawn collections are being introduced in the market.
Taking the trend as an opportunity, renowned designer Rizwan Beyg launched his ‘Rizwan Beyg Lawn’ at a graceful ceremony at a local lawn last Friday.Beyg, a leading name in design sector, was the first one who introduced the concept of designed lawn in Pakistan.The 2012 collection of Beyg was inspired by the traditional craft of embroidery.On the occasion, 15 designs with 30 colorus were put on display. Quality and print of fabrics were very wonderful, as all designs were colorful that drew people’s attention towards the suits.
Beyg lawn exhibition grabbed the attention of a large number of Karachiites, besides known celebrities.Talking to Daily Times, Beyg said, “Since last few years lawn was getting expensive like wedding dresses.” He further said that he tried to provide designed lawn at very affordable prices, adding that people who used to buy one suit at a time because of high rates, now here they could buy three suits easily.“Owing to low prices with amazing fabric, designs and colors, the response of people is fantastic,” he added.
A renowned designer Hira Lari, who was present on the occasion, commented that suits were colorful. Beyg designed suits, keeping Pakistani culture in his mind.She said that printed embroidery and kali innovative was new idea. The prices were so much reasonable, she added.Renowned model and artist Faisal Qureshi also visited the exhibition and said that the prices were amazing.
Famous fashion journalist Tehmina Khalid said that special thing about the exhibition was that it was of Beyg, who introduced the concept of designer’s lawn in Pakistan.She said people were following him as number of lawn exhibition were being held by multiple designers these days.It is pertinent to mention here that the exhibition would continue by February 26. – Dailytimes
