LAHORE: Faysal Bank has signed a five-year outsourcing services contract with HP Enterprise Services to expand its business after it acquired Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) credit card division in January 2011 as part of its growth strategy. As a result, the bank needed a service provider to power and manage its core credit card issuance system. Faysal also required support to migrate RBS’ systems to its own.“Competition in Pakistan’s credit card industry is growing, customer expectations are increasing, and regulatory requirements are more stringent,” said Aarij Ali, head of retail banking, Faysal Bank. Only HP has the expertise to help us complete the migration with minimal risk and cost, while ensuring continuity of service and enhancing customer relationship management.
From its data center in Taipei, Taiwan, HP will provide Application Management Services and Data Center Services to manage all credit card services for Faysal Bank, spanning more than 220 branches across Pakistan. The services include a suite of applications running in a secured virtual environment that processes transaction authorizations, online statements and redemptions. Additional services include fraud detection and analytical recommendations for the bank’s commercial, consumer and corporate clients. – Brecorder
