He said in a statement that human trafficking was a major problem after terrorism and directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit a report in 48 hours on its efforts to curb the crime.
The minister has convened a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the issue of human smuggling. He advised the ministry of foreign affairs to prepare a plan to help overseas Pakistanis mistreated in any country. “Overseas Pakistanis are an asset of the country and it is our responsibility to save them from any unnecessary inconvenience,” he said. “After terrorists, human smugglers are becoming a source of embarrassment for the country.

The FIA should take effective measures to eradicate human trafficking,” Chaudhry Nisar said. After Friday night’s attack in Paris, French police found a Syrian passport near the body of a terrorist and a debate started in the West about the possibility of involvement of illegal immigrants in terrorist activities and voices are being raised to stop illegal immigration.
