PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz says Imran Khan has already run away from the electoral arena by not contesting himself against Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in NA-122 by-polls.

Talking to the media here on Wednesday, he responded to the PTI chairman’s claim that Nawaz Sharif did not dare to come in the field against him (Imran) in the by-election, saying that in fact Mr Khan retreated by not re-running from the constituency.
He said it would have been much better if Imran himself had contested the by-poll as it also had exposed his allegations of rigging. He said the elements involved in the “politics of sit-ins and allegations” had failed and that problems of people could be resolved through sincere efforts under parliamentary system and not through sit-ins.

Accompanied by Mr Sadiq, he said there was no allegation of corruption or rigging against the PML-N candidate whereas even serious and sincere workers of the PTI were perturbed over nomination of their party’s candidate (Aleem Khan) as there were allegedly a number of charges against him. He said indiscriminate action should be taken against those involved in corruption.
