ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Monday said despite economic constraints, the government would not ignore the country’s defence requirements and would take every possible step to maintain a level of minimum credible deterrence.Talking to Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC),General Khalid Shamim Wyne at the PM House, the Prime Minister lauded the professional preparedness of the armed forces.The CJCSC briefed the Prime Minister about his recent visit to South Korea and his participation in the Chiefs of Defence Conference.He apprised Prime Minister Gilani of his meetings with the military leadership of the participating countries.
