Afridi took his critics to task and praised fellow players Sarfraz Ahmed and Misbah-ul-Haq. When asked by program host Umer Shareef about how he felt at the Indian defeat in semifinal against Australia, the star all-rounder too went on to sing “Mauka Mauka”, the jingle behind the campaign run by Indian media. Indian media ran the pompous ad campaign showing their team as ‘invincible’ and all ready to defend the title they earned in 2011 with a hashtag #WeWontGiveItBack.

Indian team won all of their group matches, eased past Bangladesh in quarterfinals only to be defeated by the Australian team who went on to win the World Cup. After the defeat, Pakistani and Bangladesh cricket fans called the BCCI and sang ‘Mauka Mauka’ besides trolling the Indian team along with the Indian nation on Twitter. It must be remembered that the Pakistani cricketer earlier talked to the host Umer Shareef on telephone and turned bitter on his critics praised ‘Har Lamha Purjosh’ for staying positive during the World Cup.
