The World Bank on Thursday approved a loan worth $50 million for improving the performance of public sector in the southern Sindh province.

According to an announcement by the lender, the board of executive directors of the World Bank approved Sindh Governance Project. Under the project, the bank would lend $50 million with a maturity period of 25 years and a grace period of five years.

“The objective is to strengthen the public sector performance in the Province of Sindh through improved revenue generation and expenditure management,” the World Bank said in a statement. – Samaa
