She was the 2004 winner of American Idol.But in the years following her victory in the popular talent show contest, Fantasia Barrino has had a roller-coaster of a time both personally and professionally.
However, it seems that nowadays the star is looking on the lighter side of life as was spotted enjoying herself in Barbados on Tuesday, twerking on the beach.The star was photographed with friends and looked to be relishing every moment of her break.The 29-year-old sported a bright blue bikini embellished with multi-coloured rhinestones on the top half drawing attention to the singer’s curves.The mother of two looked on fine form as she larked around with friends on the beach and enjoyed some water-sports taking a friend for a ride on a jet-ski.
And the star seemed to be in her element as showed off her twerking skills, that would easily put Miley Cyrus to shame. It looked as though Fantasia was enjoying a well deserved break from her most recent tour around America. No doubt the star was pleased to be indulging in a vacation but was probably even more pleased to be working given the financial problems she has publicly faced in recent times.Earlier this year in April the singer lost the battle to keep her North Carolina home which had almost been the subject of foreclosure in 2010.
Despite the star’s third album ‘Side Effects of You’ being another top ten hit earlier this year she has been plagued by various financial problems over the last few years which resulted in her losing her beloved home.As well as her financial woes the singer had a very stressful time personally when she was accused of being a homewrecker and breaking up the marriage of Paula Cook and Antwaun whom Fantasia went on to have a baby with.The star ended up taking an overdose as a result of the stress from her messy love life but thankfully made a full recovery and since then has seemed to enjoy a more stable personal life.Fantasia will next be performing in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday 19 September and in Los Angeles on Friday 20 September. – DailyMail
