KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday approved the appointment of eight additional judges of Sindh High Court and three of Balochistan High Court.
The judges who have been appointed in SHC include Shaukat Ali Memon, D&S Judge Karachi (Central), Ashraf Jehan, D&S Judge Karachi (East), Shahnawaz Tariq, D&S Judge Karachi (West), Abdul Malik Gaddi, Registrar Sindh High Court, Nazar Akber Advocate, Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar, Advocate, Zafar Ahmed Rajput, Advocate, and Hassan Feroze, D&S Judge.
The summary states that their nominations were forwarded to Parliamentary Committee on Judges Appointment in the Superior Courts by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan.The appointed judges for BHC include Shakil Ahmed, Muhammad Ejaz Swati and Muhammad Kamran Mulakhail while for Sindh High Court include Shaukat Ali Memon, Ashraf Jehan, Shahnawaz Tariq, Abdul Malik Gaddi, Nazar Akber, Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar, Zafar Ahmed Rajput and Hassan Feroze.The appointments have been made for one-year. – DailyTimes
