ISLAMABAD: Senior lawyers have expressed disappointment with the Supreme Court Registrar office over what they term deteriorating state of case management system at the apex court.
According to details, former Supreme Court Bar Association president Asma Jahangir has written a letter to SC Registrar Dr Faqir Hussain last week and expressed her disappointment over the poor case management system of the apex court. “Today as I arrived back from Islamabad at 19:38, I received an SMS that my case CMA 2380/2013 is fixed the next morning. I appreciate that I was informed but I happen to be an advocate of Supreme Court, who is expected to prepare the case before travel and appearance in the court.
Even Mughal kings do not expect their jesters to turn around to amuse them in this speed,” former SCBA president said in her letter. She said that for the last several years, the system of court management has deteriorated to the extent that lawyers find they are bonded to the pleasures of the court’s management system rather then assisting the Supreme Court and providing service to their clients. – DailyTimes
