PTI launches signature campaign against Altaf

LONDON: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf London has started a “100,000 signatures” campaign that will be presented to the House of Parliament, London, against MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s recent anti-Pakistan speech, said PTI London Information Secretary Atif Shah.

Talking to Online, Shah said PTI members had submitted 12,000 complaints to the Metropolitan Police against the MQM chief for his anti-Pakistan speech that has instigated bloodshed in Pakistan and threats to people’s lives.“In due course, PTI members have started 100,000 persons’ signature campaign that will be presented to the parliament for immediate action against the MQM chief, who in the capacity of a British citizen has instigated violence and threats to the people of Pakistan.”

Shah also said that a demonstration would be staged in front of the MQM chief’s house in London on Sunday.He said that all the Pakistanis in Britain were united against the anti-Pakistan speech of the MQM chief.He said that the Pakistani society at the London School of Economics, Oxford and Cambridge universities, has participated in the protest demonstrated in front of the Pakistani High Commission in Knightsbridge the other day.

“First time in the history of Pakistan, through election, the clouds of fear and terror in Karachi were supposed to end. However, the MQM did organised rigging that is evident in reports of independent observers. The 200 percent voter turnover is itself a big question mark,” he added.He said that the PTI would keep on protesting until the re-election was initiated in Karachi.When Online contacted the MQM Secretariat in London, it was told that the person concern was not available to record the version of the party. – DailyTimes
