Chris Brown belted out his love for late singer Aaliyah from the rooftop of a house in Compton over the weekend.
Chris, 24, filmed a tribute music video on Sunday in the south downtown area of Los Angeles, best known since the 1980s for producing gangster rap.The heavily tattooed singer was shirtless and surrounded by more than a dozen other men for the rooftop segment of the clip.Chris and about 20 others also filled a staircase at an apartment complex for the tribute song.
Throughout the day, the star had a couple of wardrobe changes for the music video.Aaliyah tragically died in August 2011 at age 22 in a plane crash in the Bahamas.The young singer had a breakout hit with Try Again from the soundtrack of the film Romeo Must Die.
Aaliyah had a profound impact on R&B and hip-hop during her brief career and has been given credit for redefining the genres.Canadian rapper Drake also is a huge Aaliyah fan and has two tattoos in honour of the Grammy nominated artist.Chris has been in a dramatic on-and-off romance with singer Rihanna that has included a running spat on Twitter.The saga grew even more complicated later Sunday when Chris was seen with former lover Karrueche Tran in Hollywood. – DailyMail
