ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Petroleum has given a go-ahead to an increase of Rs 3.53/litre in petrol price, taking the fuel’s price to Rs 106.60/litre.
According to reports, the government has approved an upward revision in the prices of petroleum products, which will take effect from today (March 1). The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notified the new prices on Thursday. According to the OGRA notification, petrol has been made dearer by Rs 3.53/litre, taking its new price to Rs 106.60/litre. OGRA has increased diesel price by Rs 4.35/litre, that of light diesel by Rs 3.93/litre, and kerosene by Rs 3.79, sources said. Henceforth, diesel, light diesel, and kerosene oil will be retailed at Rs 113.56, Rs 98.26, and Rs 103.69 per litre, respectively. – DailyTimes
