She is known for her brazen personality and sharp-tongued on-air comments. And it seems that Wendy Williams isn’t too shy about shedding her clothes either.
Joining the likes of Pamela Anderson and Khloe Kardashian, the 48-year-old has stripped naked to pose for PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). The popular daytime talk show host unveiled her ‘I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur’ Winter campaign in Times Square on Wednesday.Wendy appears in the advertisement completely in the buff, her long hair and a strategically placed leg protecting her modesty.
She also shows off her large tattoo on her stomach, which features a floral and star design.Ironically Wendy used to be a fan of fur, but has since forgone wearing the animal skin.’We should all try to be comfortable in our own skin and let animals keep theirs,’ she says. For her campaign, Wendy and PETA are trying to get people who already own fur coats to donate them to the organisation, who will then pass them on to homeless people at a drive.
On Wednesday, Wendy excitedly posed with her new racy image and addressed the crowd.Unlike her ad, she was completely covered up from the cold in a pair of black trousers, an overcoat and ankle boots.Wendy joins a long line of celebrities who have stripped down for PETA in the past.Khloe Kardashian, Olivia Munn, Alicia Silverstone and dedicated PETA activist Pamela Anderson have all shed their clothes for the cause.Throughout the past summer Wendy had been working hard at getting into shape.
And in her new advertisement, it clearly shows. The doyenne of the talk show tweeted a picture from inside her gym back in August, where she appeared to be hard at work.Wendy wrote alongside the picture: ‘Been dieting and working out over the summer break. Just 36 days until we’re back together. Wendy Williams.’Recently Wendy also openly spoke about her breast implants and why others are so negative about her plastic surgery to website xoJane.
She said: ‘They are very jealous and scared. Scared of what their other friends would say, or to break out of the box and be different. And being black? Ugh, please.’My people will not go for any kind of surgery. We are supposed to be natural. Ugh, whatever.’She also revealed why she chooses to be seen in such large wigs, admitting that big hair ‘offsets my big body.’ – Dailymail
