A Saudi prince went on trial in London Tuesday for allegedly beating and strangling his male companion to death in what prosecutors say was a sexually related murder.Bandar Abdulaziz was found dead in a London hotel room in February.
He was an aide and frequent companion of Prince Saud Abdulaziz bin Nasser al Saud.Prosecutors say he had been badly beaten and that his injuries include bite marks on his cheeks.
The court saw closed-circuit television pictures of the prince beating Abdulaziz in a hotel elevator weeks earlier. Prosecutors call the tape evidence that the two men shared an abusive relationship.The prince has admitted to manslaughter, but denies intending to murder Abdulaziz
