ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will leave tomorrow (Monday) for China on a four-day official visit to represent the country at the World Economic Forum’s sixth Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2012.
The Forum’s meeting, also widely known as the Summer Davos is being held in China’s port city Tianjin from September 11-13. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will open the meeting.Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf will attend several sessions of the WEF and will deliberate on the geopolitical and economic matters affecting the South Asia region.He will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.
On the sidelines, the Prime Minister will meet several world leaders and prominent figures of business community.The WEF’s New Champions meeting is led by the Forum’s growing global growth companies as well as the communities of Technology Pioneers, Young Global Leaders, Global Shapers and Young Scientists. – APP
