ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has accepted the decision of the Supreme Court disqualifying Yusuf Raza Gilani as the prime minister.
The decision was taken during the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting held at the presidency.Sources add that the PPP will put forward the name for a new prime minister following the coalition partners meeting scheduled for Tuesday night. The names of Makhdoom Shahbuddin and Ahmed Mukhtar are under consideration.
The PPP has also decided to file a review petition against the decision in the Supreme Court. The PPP Parliamentary Party meeting has also been summoned to review the Supreme Court’s verdict. – Thenews
