ISLAMABAD: Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, who is replacing Major General Athar Abbas, will assume the charge of Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General today (Monday).
Major General Bajwa was commissioned in Punjab Regiment from the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul in March 1984 and has held various command, staff and instructional appointments, including command of an anti-tank battalion, an infantry brigade group and a strike infantry division. He has been brigade major of an infantry brigade and has also been on the faculty of Kakul PMA and Command and Staff College Quetta. Major General Abbas remained as DG ISPR for about four and half years. – Dailynews
