KARACHI: A four-member cabinet committee designated by President Asif Ali Zardari to review political and law and order situation in Sindh province, called on Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah here on Monday and discussed their talks with various political and nationalist parties, intellectuals and other stakeholders.
Federal Minister for Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim, was heading the committee. Other members of the committee are Syed Khurshid Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar and Mola Bakhsh Chandio. Fahim said all the people and parties want unity, peace and harmony in the province and they also shared with the committee their problems and grievances. The Chief Minister told the committee members about the administrative measures taken by the Sindh government and its efforts in line with the directives of President Zardari to promote peace in the province.
Shah said an atmosphere of unity, love and harmony is being developed in the province for the welfare of the masses and for resolving their problems on a priority basis. The meeting also discussed various other issues and devised a strategy to handle them. Pakistan Peoples Party Sindh General Secretary Taj Haider was also present on the occasion .-BusinessRecorder
