ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister (FM) Abdul Hafeez Shaikh on Wednesday briefed the prime minister (PM) about the current economic situation and the allocation for the Public Sector Development Programme and the preparation of the fifth budget.
The FM apprised Yousaf Raza Gilani that in line with the latter’s guidance the annual PSDP would be conceived while ensuring fiscal balance. Separately, Interior Minister Rehman Malik called on the premier and apprised him about law and order situation in the country in general and Karachi in particular. Gilani expressed concern on the killing of people by miscreants in Karachi and directed Malik to extend all possible help to the provincial government to restore peace. – Dailytimes
